From all of us at the NRC we want to thank everyone who came along to the 2017 Sustainable Living Festival. We were lucky enough to have some great guest speakers and a largest number of stallholders that we have had at an event. The Festival grows every year and this year saw 1,800 people attend.
We had exciting guest speakers such as Kim Syrus from Channel Nine’s ‘in the garden with Kim Syrus’; Chris Daniels, Professor of Biology at UniSA; Jason Gow, Sustainable Building & Renewable Energy; and Abby Buckley, eco-friendly ways to decompose your dead body, as well as a range of workshops, including composting, plant propagation and yoga, kids activities, nature crafts and live entertainment. Food vendors brought us delicious plant based and meat meals as well as coffee and cold beverages.
This event is only possible because of our wonderful volunteers who spend many hours planning and creating displays and competitions and engaging with stallholders and presenters.
We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did. We would love to hear any feedback from you so we can make the next Festival even better. Send us an email nrc.gawler@gmail.com
