Brief Description: A hardy groundcover forming an open mat of small succulent leaves.  Flowers in summer/autumn with succulent red fruit/berries.

Growing and Distribution: Much less woody than upright variety. Long lived in most conditions. Tolerates shade.

Beneficial attributes: Aboriginal people use for body paint for children and eat the seeds and sweet fruits. Fruit is soaked in water to make a drink. Birds and insects eat the fruit and disperse the seed.
