Please note: The project is aimed at revegetating the understorey, therefore only 10% of your order may be made up of medium/tall shrubs eg. In a box of 20 plants only 2 of the plants may be shrub species. Except in Mallee Plains 25% medium/tall shrubs is allowed.
Common name: Drooping Sheoak

Width: 1-2m
Description: Tall shrub with drooping dark green “leaves”. Separate male and female plants. Males have rusty coloured flowers in spring. Females produce seed cones after a few years.
Growing and distribution: Slow growing but longlived. Adapted to a range of soils. Need protection from grazing, rabbits when young.
Beneficial attributes: Used by a range of insects and cockatoos.
Specific location issues: Rain over 400mm.
