Description: Upright shrub with dark leaves. Clusters of yellow ball-shaped flowers. Black seeds.

Growing and distribution: Most parts of region, range of soils. Can die out after 5-10 years but some are long-lived.

Beneficial Attributes: Aboriginal people use seeds and roast them to be eaten. Nectar food plant and provides habitat for foraging birds.
