Trees laden with fruit? Don’t know what to do with it all? At this workshop you’ll learn all about preserving/drying produce for future use.
In this workshop presenters Miriam and Andy Yip will cover the basics of preserving including preparing your fruit, sterilising your jars, cooking the fruit in a Fowlers Vacola unit, and safe storage. They will also demonstrate drying fruit in a dehydrator, including for use in hiking meals. There will be yummy samples of preserved and dried fruit for you to try.
