Don’t know what to do with all those tomatoes? Come along to this fun, interactive workshop with Miriam Yip from Preserve and Serve to learn how to make passata and make the most of your crop all year round.
Miriam will take us through all the steps from preparing the tomatoes, to pulping them in our fabulous Fabio Leonardi tomato machine, and safely bottling the sauce. You can then pop the bottles on the shelf and use when required. Sealed bottles will last up to three years.
GEC will be launching a DIY Kitchen Hire service in March 2026 so you will be able to borrow Fabio to use at home. We will also have Fowlers Vacola preserving units, food dehydrators, and beer brewing kits for hire.
We are very grateful to Transition Gawler for donating the funds to support our DIY Kitchen Hire service.
