We still have plenty of hot weather ahead of us in Feb and March, so come along to this workshop for top tips about shade, wind, plant selection, watering, position, mulching and more. Learn about seasonal factors, choosing appropriate plants for your climate zone, and working with microclimates in your own small patch. Check out some examples from the Gawler Environment Centre Garden and get some inspiration for your own garden heat proofing project.
Parking: We have one accessible parking spot onsite, please let us know if you would like to book it. Street parking is available on Main North Rd, or across the road on Flinders St. Parking is also available at Gawler Central shopping centre around the corner. We are very close to Gawler Central train station if the train is an option for you.
What to bring: We will be sitting under cover outside for the presentation, and walking around the garden to look at some examples. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring sun smart gear, hat, sunscreen etc as required.
