sustainable-living-festival-flier-2016-final

On Sunday 6th November, 2016 the Gawler Regional Natural Resource Centre will be hosting the 4th annual SUSTAINABLE LIVING FESTIVAL, an event that celebrates sustainability and aims to teach, encourage and inspire our local community to embrace and learn about living a more sustainable lifestyle in a fun way. The Sustainable Living festival 2016 will feature: Guest Speakers including: Trevor Nottle, South Australian author and dry climate gardening expert; WOMAD Talks speakers Professor John Boland and Chris Bryant, experts on designing and maintaining sustainable gardens; Kerry Cleopatra of Waking Up Wellbeing, talking on food, wellbeing and healthy community; Helen Edwards writer of the hugely popular blog ‘Recycled Interiors!

There will also be a range of stall holders, workshops, kids activities and a cooking demonstration by the fantastic Simon Bryant, a celebrity chef who promotes the use of ethically sourced and local, fresh ingredients.

This year we are also expanding our Un-JuNk Project. We are encouraging people of all ages to enter our UnJuNk 2016 competition to create something out of waste (entries judged and awarded on the day). In addition we will be creating a piece of public art under the supervision of local Gawler artist Scott Rathman, which everyone will be encouraged to contribute to on the day.
