Japanese quail are ideal as your backyard protein source, as they need little room, are friendly and inquisitive, only take 18 days to hatch and are laying eggs from 8 weeks old.

· -Egg production, collection and use

· -Incubation and hatching

· -Brooding and sexing

· -Humane culling

· -Additional session at the end on processing for meat for those who wish to stay.
