Learn how to make your own wicking bed and trouble shoot common wicking bed problems in this hands on workshop.

About this Event

Date: Sat 14 December

Time: 10am-12pm

Location: 43 High St, Gawler East

Cost: $10

Bookings essential:

Join local gardener Malcolm Haines of Ligaya Garden for a practical workshop on making your own wicking bed and trouble shooting common problems to ensure your bed functions well. The wicking bed at Gawler Environment Centre needs a refit so we will be starting from scratch to build it up again and you can join in to help and pick up handy hints along the way.

Wicking beds are very versatile and can be used in many different types of gardens, including those with limited space. They are ideal for dry conditions as the reservoir can be filled in advance of any planned absence.

Please bring your gardening gloves and sun smart gear and wear closed in shoes.

We are heading in to the summer season so once you have booked please keep an eye on your emails in case there are any last minute changes due to hot weather/fire danger.
